In order to strengthen the conservation of land and resources and protect the rights and interests of indigenous peoples, the amendment to the Mining Act was passed by the Legislative Yuan on May 26, 2023. Under the rational use of national mineral resources, the sustainable development of economy, environment and culture should be taken into consideration.
